Gavin's teaching philosophy:
"...I believe in fostering the love and passion of music in drumming in my students. I demonstrate and expect a fear-free attitude toward learning. I believe that fundamentals of drumming, rudiments and time keeping, are essential to all drumming styles and work to build upon those pillars to achieve success in various styles of drumming. Each student is different and I taylor the materials and topics to his or her interests and ability. In addition to having new things to take home and play right away we will work on skills that will take dedication and time to incorporate. Students should expect to work hard, have fun and grow as drummers. ..."
